- Have you really been to all of these?
- Yep. If it's on the list, I've been there at least once and spent enough time there to experience and enjoy it. The only exception is the "On the list" section on each city page - those are recs I've been given but haven't made it to yet.
- What makes the list?
- Simple rule: if it's worth shouting about, it's on here.
- Why are pubs, bars, and clubs separate?
- A pub is somewhere I can crash into after a day of work without much thought - get a pint and enjoy the conversation or the setting before moving on. A bar is usually more of a researched choice: I'll have picked it for the aesthetic, or more often than not stunning rooftop views, and I like to dress up a little more for one. If I'm in a club or venue, I'm usually there for an event or a DJ set - the main things I pay attention to are the sound and the aesthetic. I almost never go into your conventional nightclub.
- Can I send you a rec?
- Please do. Every city page has a small form under "On the list" - anything sent there lands with me directly, and if I make it there and it holds up, it graduates to the main list.
- How do I share these?
- Every rec has a copy button that grabs the name and a Google Maps link, ready to paste into a chat. City pages also have "Copy all" for the whole list at once.
